Line Rider

The Line Rider game lets players draw tracks and then see how the rider runs on them according to the drawings. Smooth slopes should be drawn, the run should be tested, and then the falls should be examined until everything looks good.

Game Introduction

Line Rider is more like a physics sketchbook rather than a regular level-based game. You draw the road first, hit 'play', and then the little rider demonstrates all those spots on your road where it was either not steep enough, or the connection between two lines wasn't smooth, or there were jumps you overestimated. And there isn't just one right path to create. It could be either a peaceful descent, an awesome stunt road, or a silly loop, as long as it allows you to move along. This is the secret of the game's longevity: everything that falls off shows you the weak spot of your design.

How to Play Line Rider

Make a small segment and check it out before the track starts becoming hard to edit. Draw smooth curves when drawing a speed adjustment point since corners are likely to launch the rider off the path. Have a build-up before a major jump, and make sure that there is enough distance and angle in the landing to grab the sled. When making a crash in a certain part of the track, stop the process and modify the segment where the crash occurred, not all the segments in the drawing. It’s also advisable to use the undo and erase features when editing mistakes. The best paths are formed through multiple trials rather than through a single continuous attempt.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an end in Line Rider?
Not by default. It’s a sandbox game, and you are the creator of what track or stunt you wish to build.
Why does my rider fall off a curve?
The sharpness of the turn may be too steep for the current speed at which the character is traveling.
